Over the past few weeks, I appeared as a guest on a couple of podcasts, and I thought it might be useful to collect those here for anyone who may have missed them. (it’s also a good excuse to post some new comment on this dusty ol’ blog of mine)
First, I appeared on the Tracks of the Damned podcast to discuss Carnival of Souls with host Patrick Ripoll. You can download or listen to the episode here or via iTunes. The episode has also been uploaded to YouTube courtesy of Jim Laczkowski, and you can watch that right here:
I also participated in the first annual Tracks of the Damned short horror film festival by talking about the experimental computer animated short film Pixillation (1970, dir. Lillian F. Schwartz). The episode also features Patrick Ripoll, Jim Laczkowski, Daniel Baldwin, and Samm Deighan talking about “some of the weirdest and wildest short horror films ever made.” You can listen to or download the episode here or via iTunes.
Finally, I appeared on the podcast Director’s Club to talk about the work of Roger Corman with host Jim Laczkowski. Our conversation focuses mainly on It Conquered the World, A Bucket of Blood, The Little Shop of Horrors, The Masque of the Red Death, The Intruder, and Frankenstein Unbound, but we touch on several other films over the course of the conversation. You can listen to or download the episode here or via iTunes.
